RAF ALCONBURY, England -- The Alconbury Dragons roared into the postseason Saturday with a 30-6 rout of AFNORTH/Brussels.
Adarius Gallon carried 14 times for 234 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Fritz Sherenco rushed for 124 yards while passing for 51 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Stewart. Daniel Doctor Jr. rounded out the Alconbury scoring with a 51-yard kickoff return for touchdown.
Jacob Williamson paced the Dragon defense with 18 tackles, four sacks and a fumble recovery. Chris Dufresne and Ben High added 11 tackles apiece. Michael Defazio paced the AFNORTH/Brussels squad with 102 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Alconbury advances to the quarterfinals despite a 2-3 overall record when it travels to play No. 1 seed Rota in Spain. The Dragons finished the season on a two-game win streak, including last weekend's defeat of Baumholder, and took all three of their losses to playoff-bound teams with winning records.
AFNORTH/Brussels rounds out its season at 1-4. The two Benelux schools combined their programs just before the start of the season due to small rosters at both schools.
