MIRAMAR MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, Calif. — The Air Force women last Friday ended Army’s 77-game unbeaten streak in All-Armed Forces basketball tournament play dating back to 1992, defeating the soldiers 81-74 in the 2004 championship game at Miramar’s Semper Fit Center.

Naomi Mobley of Eielsen Air Force Base, Alaska, had 27 points for the airmen, who trailed 41-40 at halftime.

Andreia Hinton of Tripler Medical Center, Hawaii, scored a game-high 28 points, including 20 in the second half, and Evevetta Crawford of Fort Hood, Texas, added 22 points.

Crawford and Hinton were selected for the 12-player All-Armed Forces team, which competes in a national tournament next week in Las Vegas.
