I was rather shocked to see profanity used three times in two days of the paper. All three times were in the "Coming Home" articles. I am not a prude and do use profanity at work at times. I do not, however, use it in the presence of children or in public.

Why would Stars and Stripes allow the common term for excrement to be used twice in two days? When did it become acceptable? I would expect Stripes to have higher standards and I am, frankly, disappointed. I realize all three times were quotes, but that really is no excuse.

I subscribed for years while stationed in Germany, but I can gladly say my children will not be reading your paper.
