I want to thank you for keeping the "Classic Peanuts" comic strip in your paper, long after "Peanuts" creator Charles M. Schulz passed on.

I noticed the Sept. 27 strip is dated 1962. I recall those days of my childhood, and this one took me back. I was seated on the couch next to my dad as we/he read the comics — "Peanuts" in particular. I loved my dad. He was a good man, and he loved me as well.

My own boys are gone and off to college now. I hope I have given to them the same heritage.

So, again, thanks. You made my day.
