Grateful for story on Marine

I would like to express my deepest thanks for [The Associated Press] story "Death of a Marine," on Lance Cpl. Joshua "Bernie" Bernard, in the Sept. 4 edition of your paper.

Bernard was one of my Marines (1st Platoon, Golf Company) during our deployment to Iraq last year. He was a great Marine and a wonderful young man. I will deeply miss him. Once again, thank you for the piece you did on him.
