p>This is in response to "Handing out awards" (letter, Oct. 23). I completely agree with the letter writer. If the writer is able to see this, then those leaders at higher levels know that as well.

Soldiers never get the commendation and recognition they deserve. The majority of them do more than we ask for. The commands are aware, yet they don’t do anything. They go with the flow of ineptitude.
