The Jan. 10 "Baldo" comic clearly juxtaposed the difficulty of illegally immigrating into the U.S. with the "plight" of the privileged American teenager. Though I can appreciate that someone who writes a comic strip about Hispanics could feel that there’s nothing wrong with illegally immigrating into the U.S., it clearly has no place in a paper geared toward military members.

The cultural analysis that’s regularly found in this comic is rarely even moderately humorous. Sunday’s comic was nothing more than an editorial applauding people who enter the country illegally, even showing one of the individuals attending what seemed to be a public school at taxpayer expense.

This comic needs to be removed from Stars and Stripes permanently before I’ll read it again. We have other news and entertainment resources that don’t applaud illegal actions from foreigners.
