I am a little surprised at what Internet sites are blocked on the public computers here in Camp Virginia, Kuwait.

I went to check on a few pro-gun Web sites and found they were all blocked. I also tried the National Rifle Association’s main home page. It, too, was blocked. I then checked as many anti-gun Web sites as I could find and was able to access them all.

I find it disturbing that, on government-sponsored computers used by armed forces personnel, I am not able to read information [linked to] our Second Amendment. Yet any information that is against this constitutional right is readily accessible.

This needs to change. As servicemembers, we often have to give up many of the rights we work so hard to defend: our right to keep and bear arms and our right to political expression should not be something we have to sacrifice.
