In response to "Replace tasteless cartoons," (letter, Dec. 24-25), some of the writer’s "not funny" cartoons are some of the few things that do bring smiles to the faces of me and my soldiers.

Simply because he doesn’t share the sense of humor of other people is no reason to pull a comic strip. We often clip the comic strips that have particular humor to current or older situations. "Get Fuzzy" and "Pearls Before Swine" are two that we find the funniest.

I would be very sorry to see them pulled simply because one person has no sense of humor.
