I believe in our soldiers and their spouses. I’ve been around long enough and have no doubt that the Department of Defense is covering it up ("Burning question," article, Nov. 6). Look at all the product we burn on those bases.

The easy solution is to stop [using burn pits]. Place incinerators on all bases and use those. Every international airport in the U.S. by law has to burn all international flights’ garbage. If they can do it, so can the DOD.
