You cannot honestly think that the comic "Baldo" (Oct. 18) was acceptable to put into the Sunday comics.

I was appalled, and see it as a pathetic injustice to the children who read the Sunday comics that you think it was acceptable to put such trash into the paper.

I have been overseas for many years and have been a dedicated reader of Stars and Stripes. When I opened the comics and saw the female unpleasantly dressed and texting pictures of herself in a comic strip that is meant for children, I was speechless. It is amazing to me that you allowed this to happen. Who made the decision to allow such trash to be entered, even as a "guest artist"?

As if it is not bad enough for the younger girls of this generation to be pressured by the constant barrage of physical beauty that some of them will never achieve, your paper moves right ahead and does this.

Needless to say, my respect for your paper has been lost. I am afraid to see what you will allow next, and pathetic as it may be, I am sorrowed by the poor judgment you have displayed for the family portion of the Sunday paper.

Stars and Stripes has definitely reached a low I thought for you would be impossible.
