This is in response to "Drop ‘Baldo’ comic strip" (letter, Jan. 12).

For starters it is just a comic strip! It’s made to make people laugh, which it does.

I don’t like all of the comics that are featured in Stars and Stripes, but I feel lucky just to have comics to read on a day-to-day basis. Just because I personally don’t like some of the comics featured does not mean I want them removed.

So, if the technical sergeant does not pick up a Stars and Stripes just because the comic strip "Baldo" is in it, then he will be missing out on a good opportunity to stay well-informed. The majority of people appreciate what Stars and Stripes does. Thank you for your hard work and for every article and comic strip!
