The airmen discussed in “The War Room” (article, Oct. 27) are no more or less proud members of the military than any of us on the ground.

I was awarded the Combat Action Badge and earned it more times than I care to remember. Prior to deploying, a group of soldiers I was a part of spent two years training our brothers and sisters before they went into harm’s way. After that mission, it was my turn to get some. I am proud of both periods of service.

To all soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen, we are all in this fight together. When you are home, enjoy the time with your families. The only thing I ask while you are home is to keep those of us in harm’s way in your prayers.

To my fellow soldiers, if complaining helps you deal with stress, then complain away. But do not, for one second, think you are better than anyone else.

We are all in this fight together, One team, one fight!
