The music is bouncy and the images happy.

Using a selfie stick, Dominick Petronella filmed visits to Dubai and Singapore. His GoPro also included shots of the U.S. Navy sailor's friends, Petronella drumming and a moment shortly before he lost the camera in the Guadalupe River near Canyon Lake, Texas.

The video circulating on social media is actually courtesy of T.K. Archibald, a Texan who was fly fishing when he found the camera.

"We have so much hatred going on around this world already, there's no point in keeping it for myself, so I figured I'd try to do something good in this world," Archibald told KXAN-TV.

So, he made the video and posted it publicly to several social media accounts on Aug. 11.

"Okay internets I found this guy's GoPro," the video begins. "Help me find this GoPro's guy..."

The video worked. A friend shared it with Petronella, who is based in Virginia, on Aug. 19.

"He showed me the video and my jaw just dropped in the car. I was like 'you have to be kidding me.'" Petronella told Archibald in the KXAN-TV report. "This is unbelievable."

The sailor told KXAN-TV that he had purchased the camera for himself after a deployment. It was filled with a year's worth of memories.
