Pacific Command awarded an educational services contract extension Friday to Troy University’s Global Campus, according to a university news release.

Under the agreement, Troy will offer its Masters of Science in International Relations Program at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa; Misawa Air Base, Japan; and Yongsan Garrison, South Korea. It will be administered by the university’s Pacific Region headquarters at Kadena.

"It is certainly wonderful that we will continue our presence and opportunity to serve the military in the Pacific Command," Dr. Earl Ingram, vice chancellor of Global Campus, said in the release. "This contract well represents Troy University’s sincere commitment in serving the U.S. military."

The new deal begins with the 2009-2010 academic year and includes five option years. The university’s current contract began in 2003.

Troy has provided graduate-level courses to military students in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 18 years.
