It’s still a few weeks until countries in Europe tell people to set their clocks an hour forward, but American Forces Network television viewers might need to adjust some of their viewing habits beginning Sunday.

That’s because the U.S. is switching to daylight-saving time in the early morning hours Sunday. Congress mandated the early switchover, which starts this year. Clocks in Europe won’t make the move until March 25.

That means that not only will those in the States be answering their phones at a different time for two weeks, but some programming that AFN offers will be shown at different times.

In a news release, AFN stated that most of the programming that airs on AFN channels will air at the regularly scheduled times.

Exceptions include AFN Pacific, where programs will air an hour later than they currently do through November, and AFN Sports, where programming will start an hour earlier. AFN plans to provide extra coverage of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and that will cause some changes in programming as well. to the AFN Web site at: www.myafn.net.
