Suicide prevention charity run goes with a dash of paint
October 3, 2013
Soldiers and civilians slogged through a mud pit and had paint thrown at them during the Sara’s Smile Neon Splash Dash at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, on Saturday.
The USO and Army volunteers organized the five-kilometer run to raise awareness for suicide prevention. Before the run, Sgt. 1st Class Robert Britt, founder of the Sara’s Smile Foundation, shared the story of his daughter’s suicide in 2011 and its impact on in his family.
