Tactical Electronics Warfare Squadron 209 arrived last week at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, from Naval Air Facility Washington, D.C., as part of the six-month Marine Corps Unit Deployment Program.

The Star Warriors are part of Carrier Air Wing Reserve 20, the only tactical Reserve carrier air wing in the world, a base news report stated.

The squadron plans to conduct integrated training with Marine Air Group 12, comes equipped with more than 200 sailors and will be conducting missions with the help of five EA-6B Prowlers, the report added.

The squadron commander is Cmdr. Charles Mingonet.

Electronic Attack Squadron 142 will return to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash., having completed its six-month deployment to Iwakuni.
