RAF MILDENHALL, England — Airmen took a break today to celebrate the second annual Diversity and Inclusion Day on base.
The 100th Air Refueling Wing hosted the event with information booths from cultural groups, special observances, performances, food and interactive sports.
Col. Christopher Amrhein, 100th ARW commander, and Col. Tracy Onufer, 352nd Special Operations Wing commander, kicked off the day by signing a proclamation for diversity inclusion alongside their senior enlisted advisors.
“The strengths of our teams comes from our diversity,” Amrhein said.
“When you talk to each individual airman and hear their stories, there’s something a little bit different, and understanding the difference in background and experiences makes our team stronger.”
