German authorities sent members of the urban boy band B2K back to the United States on Wednesday just before the band was to visit the Wiesbaden military community.

Earl Duggins, a European promoter, issued a statement through colleagues stating, “Serious personal issues with the group ... forced them to return to the States quickly.”

The promoter offered a “sincere apology to all the people this affected, as well as to Smooth Entertainment for trying to bring something positive to the community.”

B2K was scheduled to judge a student talent show Thursday at the Taunus Theater on Hainerberg Casern. Later, members were to sign autographs at the post exchange.

Just before coming to Germany, B2K split, with lead singer Omarion breaking away from the group to pursue a solo career. Only two group members made the trip to Germany.

The Gen. H.H. Arnold High School talent show will go on as scheduled.

Keith Craig, a military liaison promoter, said he is looking for an alternate celebrity to take B2K’s place. Craig also said he has scheduled another event to replace B2K’s April 16 concert in Mainz.
