Military officials at Camp Zama are investigating an Internet-based bomb threat that led to the evacuation of the base gym Saturday, Zama spokesman Maj. James Crawford said.

The message was found on the Pentagon’s Web site Saturday, according to Nippon Television Network. No explosives were found, Crawford said Wednesday.

“We take every bomb threat seriously,” he added.

Forum on Guam military buildup setNaval Facilities Engineering Command Marianas and the Joint Guam Program Office will hold a Guam Industry Forum next month to discuss the proposed military buildup on the island.

The forum will be Aug. 23 and 24. Interested parties are asked to register online at www.guamindustry forum.com. The U.S. military is planning to move 8,000 Marines from Okinawa to Guam in the next few years.
