The USS Blue Ridge and the embarked 7th Fleet staff arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Thursday for a port visit, according to a Blue Ridge news release.

The 7th Fleet flagship and her approximately 1,000 sailors were greeted by dancers who performed to traditional Indonesian music. Sailors plan to visit the Jaya Ancol Amusement Park, according to the release.

The crew also distributed humanitarian materials to three Indonesian nongovernmental organizations as part of Project Handclasp.

Demonstration warning issuedSEOUL — U.S. Forces Korea personnel are being urged to avoid demonstrations Saturday near Seoul City Hall Plaza, according to a force-protection advisory.

The National Democratic Labor Union is to gather Saturday near city hall from 2 to 6 p.m. to protest the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement.

About 1,000 people are expected to attend and they might march toward Yongsan Garrison, according to the advisory.

“USFK personnel … should be aware of, and avoid all demonstrations,” according to the advisory.

Because many of the demonstrators will use public transportation, USFK personnel are advised to avoid mass transportation systems in the area from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Monopoly tournament scheduled at MisawaMISAWA AIR BASE, Japan — As part of National Monopoly Month in March, the Mokuteki Community Center is hosting a Monopoly championship tournament March 25 at 3 p.m. Participants should bring a game if they have one. Prizes go to the top finishers.
