YOKOSUKA NAVAL BASE, Japan — Base residents are looking to form a Marine Corps League Detachment aboard Yokosuka Naval Base.

Okinawa power outage scheduled

CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — A power outage affecting most of Camp Foster and the Plaza Housing areas is scheduled for Saturday.

According to a Marine Corps announcement, the outage, planned for an upgrade to electrical service, will be from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The affected areas will be Sada, Chatan, Kishaba housing areas, Awase Golf Course, Kishaba Towers, Fort Buckner, schools on Camp Foster and most buildings in the 5600, 5700, 5800 and 5900 series.
