SEOUL — Adm. William Fallon, leader of the U.S. Pacific Command, is wrapping up a three-day trip to visit South Korean military officials.

Fallon arrived in Seoul on Thursday and was scheduled to meet with South Korean defense minister Yoon Kwang-ung, U.S. and South Korean officials said.

Also on Fallon’s agenda were visits to several South Korean military bases.

Rice in South Korea

SEOUL — U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was scheduled to participate in an Internet discussion with South Korean media members Sunday in Seoul, officials said.

Rice was to be in South Korea for a two-day visit Saturday and Sunday, part of a larger swing through several Asian nations including India, Pakistan, Japan and China.

Sunday’s one-hour Internet forum was to begin at 9 a.m. on the Daum Internet portal, officials said.

Gearing up for ‘Bikefest’

OSAN AIR BASE, South Korea — The American Steel Motorcycle Club is looking for participants in its first-ever motorcycle “bikefest,” to be held April 16 in Anjung-ri, near Camp Humphreys.

Organizers say the event will offer a group ride from Anjung-ri to Asan Bay and back, a rock concert featuring three bands and other competitions, games and drawings.

Cost for participants is $25 per rider with passenger or $20 for solo riders. The fee includes a T-shirt, ride pin and ticket to the concerts. For nonriders, the cost is $20 per couple or $15 per person and includes the T-shirt and event tickets.
