Expect traffic delays at several bases Sunday when almost 10,000 runners are expected to compete in the 2005 13th Annual Okinawa Marathon.

The race starts at the Okinawa Comprehensive Park in Awase at 9 a.m. Lead runners are expected to reach Kadena Air Base’s Gate 2 around 10:30 a.m., with most runners leaving Gate 5 by 1:30 p.m. Base officials recommend limiting any driving on base between those times.
