A rocket attack on the main U.S. base in Afghanistan did not injure anyone or cause damage to base infrastructure, U.S. military officials said Thursday.

The rocket hit an unoccupied area of the Bagram Air Base flight line along the base’s runway, officials said. The single round hit around 7:20 p.m.

An investigation is under way by Afghan and U.S. forces.
