Navy Capt. Robert P. Girrier has been selected for the rank of rear admiral and leaves his post in Naples, Italy, for Corpus Christi, Texas.

Girrier has been serving as the executive assistant at Allied Joint Force Command, Naples, and with the selected promotion, will be assigned as vice commander, Naval Mine and Anti-Submarine Warfare Command.
