The railroad overpass on Waldstrasse in Mannheim, a main commuter road between Benjamin Franklin Village and Coleman Barracks, will be closed to all traffic, including bicycles and pedestrians, starting Friday at 8 p.m., the city of Mannheim has announced. The closure will be in effect through Sept. 10. Authorities recommend drivers detour via the A6 and B38. Authorities recommend that pedestrians and bicyclists use the Waldhof station underpass.
