DARMSTADT, Germany — Slides, arcade games, pizza and fun are all on the menu at the Kid’s Zone planned on Cambria-Fritsch Caserne.

The Kid’s Zone, a family fun-filled entertainment and eating facility, is planned on the site of the Darmstadter Club. A project completion date has not been set.

Similar eateries have already opened in Heidelberg and on Pulaski Barracks near Vogelweh, Germany.

The Kid’s Zone is one of many projects under way in Darmstadt.

Others include:

• The Child and Youth Services Liaison, Education and Outreach Services offices have moved into Building 4419 on Lincoln Village. The offices were moved to demolish the existing structure to make way for a new one, according to Donna Dean, 233rd Base Support Battalion spokeswomen.

While in its temporary home, Family Child Care and Central Registration are in apartment C-2 and the administrative and sports offices are in apartment C-4 on Building 4419. The telephone numbers and operating hours remain the same.

Construction on the new building should be done by February 2004, Dean said.

• The launderette on Cambrai-Fritsch Caserne is relocating to the north end of Building 4017, next to the Thrift Shop and gym.

Dean said the move is to prepare Building 4020 for demolition.

• The Arts and Crafts shop, also located in Building 4020, is scheduled to move to Building 4039.

Anyone wanting more information on the projects can attend next month’s community Master Planning meeting at 1:30 p.m. June 5 at the Army Community Service building on Cambrai-Fritsch Caserne.

All members of the community may attend.
