CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — The 1st Marine Aircraft Wing’s KC-130 aircraft, currently deployed on the south side of the airfield at Kadena Air Base, are scheduled to return to their home base at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma on Monday.

The Marine Corps temporarily relocated fixed wing aircraft to Kadena on Feb. 21, during routine scheduled runway repair and maintenance at Futenma.

Repair crews stripped and repainted the runway lines of the 8,898-foot airstrip to enhance visibility at night and in adverse weather conditions, according to a Marine news release.

They also patched small holes and seams in the pavement.
