FRANKFURT — Jayne Mansfield, America's blond bombshell film star, practically brought Frankfurt Airport to a standstill Friday afternoon when she flew in from Paris for a six-day visit to Germany.

Hundreds of persons on the airport staff crowded around the airplane as it taxied to a stop.

Followed by a horde of photographers, Miss Mansfield was escorted to the VIP lounge in the airport building. There she was filmed by the German TV.

The star told her TV interviewer that her paternal grandparents had been born in Germany and that she was "very proud to be of Germ man extraction."

"I used to speak pretty good German when I studied it in college," she said. "And I hope to speak it quite fluently again before I leave Germany."

Miss Mansfield said she had attended the University of Texas, UCLA and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, as well as dramatic and ballet schools.

From Frankfurt Airport, the actress way driven to the Frankfurter Hof Hotel in Frankfurt, and later appeared at a crowded press reception, after changing from the all-brown ensemble in which she arrived to a shimmery black gown over which she wore a white mink stole.

Friday night Miss Mansfield was to make a public appearance at the German premiere of her movie, "Siren in Blond," based on the play, "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" which she acted on Broadway. The American version is titled, "Oh for a Man!"

In France, the actress devoted nearly a day to meeting American servicemen at various military installations. Saturday she will do the same in Frankfurt.

Escorted by Maj. Homer Sarver, of NACom Special Services, and Capt Frederick P. Schmidt, of the European Armed Forces Professional Entertainment Div, Miss Mansfield will go to the Frankfurt, football stadium for the game between the NACom Black Knights and the 10th Div Trains. She will tour the stadium in a jeep, sit first on one team's side and then on the other's.

At 3 pm Saturday the actress will make a two-hour visit to the Army's 97th Gen Hosp in Frankfurt, meeting the staff and visiting the wards. From the hospital she will go to the Gibbs EM mess, where a cake is to be baked in her honor.

In the evening she will appear at a reception at the officers' club in the Frankfurt Casino, then have supper and be introduced from the stage.

Sunday Miss Mansfield will fly to Hamburg for personal appearances and a visit to the Real Film Studios. Tuesday she will go to Dusseldorf for more personal appearances and a reception at the American Consulate. She will visit Cologne before flying to Amsterdam Thursday.

During her Frankfurt press conference, Miss Mansfield announced that she intends to marry Mickey Hargitay, a Hungarian who won the "Mr. Universe" contest in London, as soon as her divorce is final from Dallas publicity man Paul J. Mansfield early next year.

The actress, celebrated for her vital statistics, also took pains to get the record straight as reports of them have varied.

"They are 41-18-35½," she said. "And they do not vary."
