KITZINGEN, Germany — The 17th Signal Battalion’s rear detachment honored its leading family readiness group volunteers at a luncheon in Kitzingen.

The volunteer luncheon Monday was part of the unit’s observance of Army Family Readiness Group Appreciation Week April 18-22 but was postponed because of a visit by the U.S. Army Europe commander, Gen. B.B. Bell, the week before, said Dennis Peters, the battalion’s family readiness support adviser.

The unit’s leadership presented scrolls of appreciation to: Joan Davenport-Pacquette and Monique Bodenbender of the headquarters company, Susan Remily and Jennifer Flores of Company A, Christy Slovinski and Kimberly Murillo of Company B, Emmy Fritz and Beth Payne of Company C, and Taegan Shearer and Cheri Hansen of Company D.
