STUTTGART, Germany — The U.S. European Command has launched a redesigned version of its Web site.

Overhauled to make information easier to find and provide better navigation for visitors, the new site includes more news and links on the home page, and is designed to be compatible with more Web browsers, said the EUCOM public affairs officer, Tech. Sgt. Dale Yates.

Web designers spent about six months trying to put a more polished public face on the command’s Internet portal, he said.

“What we hope to do is make the site a lot more friendly for people looking for news about EUCOM,” Yates said.

Though the site’s internal search engine has been deleted, a new search function may be added as the site is revamped in coming months, Yates said. Visitors to the site can offer suggestions and feedback on the new EUCOM site by e-mailing the Webmaster.
