BAMBERG, Germany — American Forces Network radio and television programs will air an hour earlier starting Sunday when the United States switches to daylight saving time.

The hour’s difference in broadcast time will continue for two weeks, until Europe makes the switch to daylight saving time on March 28. Under the new schedule, for example, National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition” program will start at 10 a.m. Central European Time, instead of 11 a.m., and live sports events will start airing an hour earlier, according to an AFN Europe news release.

Iraq and Afghanistan do not observe daylight saving time.

All schedule changes can be found at AFN Europe’s Web site, afneurope.net.
