BRANDON — A green Isuzu was broken into and its ignition damaged in an apparent attempt to steal the vehicle, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

The attempted theft occurred along Miles End between 9 p.m. on June 25 and 6:45 a.m. on June 26, the release stated. The release did not give descriptions of any suspects.

Suspect seen leaving after stealing laptops from carsBURY ST. EDMUNDS — A thief stole laptop computers after smashing in the windows of two vehicles parked at a supermarket on June 25.

The incident occurred along the St. Saviours Interchange around 6 p.m., according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

An HP laptop was taken from a Volkswagen Golf, while a Dell laptop was stolen from a Volkswagen Touareg, the release stated.

An offender was seen driving off with three other men in a silver sedan. The suspect is described as a white male, around 6 feet tall, wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket, dark trousers and dark shoes, the release added.

Bicycle, other items taken from Lakenheath homeLAKENHEATH — A BMX bicycle, mobile phone, clothing and cigarettes were taken from a house on Caudle Avenue in Lakenheath about 6 p.m. on June 21.

The BMX bicycle is described as brown and black with “South” written on the seat, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

Woman, 60, says she was raped during robberyLAKENHEATH — Authorities are seeking information following reports of a robbery and rape of a 60-year-old woman on June 20, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

Police were called to a caravan in the village after two people reportedly stole money and one of the intruders raped the woman during the 5:30 a.m. incident, the release said.

The intruder is described as a 40-year-old male, of big build and 6 feet tall with a round face, large ears and dark hair, the release said.
