KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — The Service Credit Union has set up a series of finance classes at Ramstein Air Base for troops and family members.

The class schedule is:

• Checkbook Management: Oct. 9, 10 a.m. to noon, Building 2120, Room 105. Participants will be shown how to balance a checkbook, as well as learn the options and services available when opening an account.• German Bills Made Easy: Oct. 9, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Building 2120, Room 105. The class will give participants background information on how to use local host-nation facilities, such as a bank or credit union, to pay German bills. Participants will also learn about the Utility Tax Avoidance Program, which allows U.S. forces ID cardholders to obtain tax relief on utility bills.• Budgeting for Debt-Free Living: Oct. 14, 10 a.m. to noon, Building 2120, Room 107. Class participants will learn how to establish a plan to eliminate debt by identifying areas in their budget that need to be decreased as well as learn the value of saving money.

All classes are open to the public.
