A Thursday article about an Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station fuel leak incorrectly stated the amount of fuel that seeped into a flood-control basin. A small portion of the fuel seeped into the basin.

Friday’s story about the planned installation of a black widow spider protective barrier, to keep the poisonous insects from spreading beyond the perimeter fencing at Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station, should have stated that base pest control personnel, as of this month, have found and killed 13,824 black widow spiders since 2000.
