¶ A story in Tuesday’s editions about the Vilseck, Germany-based 1st Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment’s operations in Kirkuk, Iraq, should have said the unit landed in northern Iraq with the 173rd Airborne Brigade from Italy.

¶ The name of the photographer on a caption on Page 3 of Tuesday’s editions was incorrect. The photo of a soldier writing a letter home was taken by Stars and Stripes reporter Jon R. Anderson.

¶ A headline in Wednesday’s editions should have said one-fourth of stateside military capacity was likely to be cut in 2005.
