An April 20 story about the Marine Corps trying to reach families who lived at Camp Lejuene, N.C., when the drinking water was contaminated contained inaccurate figures because of incomplete information provided by the U.S. Marine Corps. The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry has contributed $2.5 million of the $17.3 million spent on health studies stemming from contaminated water. The Marine Corps also has spent $2 million on outreach campaigns.
