A July 27 story about Army general officer announcements should have said that Lt. Gen. James D. Thurman has been nominated to become deputy chief of staff, G-3/5/7. In this position, Thurman’s responsibilities will include overall force development, and individual and unit training policy. He also will serve as the principal adviser to the Army chief of staff on National Security Council matters, according to a V Corps news release.
