Clarification

In Wednesday’s editions, a photo caption on the Stars and Stripes front page said “New York’s Liberty Island.” Some readers complained, saying Liberty Island is in New Jersey. While the island is physically located in New Jersey, the National Park Service Web site says, “Liberty Island is federal property located within the territorial jurisdiction of the State of New York.”
