The USS Blue Ridge and the embarked 7th Fleet staff arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Thursday for a scheduled port visit, according to a Blue Ridge news release.
The 7th Fleet flagship and its approximately 1,000 sailors were greeted by dancers who performed to traditional Indonesian music.
Sailors plan to visit the Jaya Ancol Amusement Park, which has four areas: Sea World, Fantasy World, Atlantis Water Adventure and Marina Beach, according to the release. The crew also distributed humanitarian materials to three Indonesian nongovernmental organizations as part of Project Handclasp.
