An Afghan-NATO operation targeting a suspected Taliban weapons dealer in Helmand province, Afghanistan, ended with one NATO soldier and two Afghan soldiers wounded, and two suspected insurgents killed.

The troops also recovered high-powered sniper rifles in the raid, officials said.

A gun battle broke out when the Afghan and NATO troops surrounded the compound. In the fight, “the buildings were destroyed,” and the insurgents killed.

The target of the raid had been linked to the movement of anti-aircraft weapons in southern Afghanistan, officials said.
