U.S. Marines from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, kicked off the fourth and final portion of Exercise Commando Sling in Singapore this week, according to the U.S. Air Force.

The exercise involves air combat training for the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps and the Singapore air force. Six F/A-18 Hornets crews and support personnel will participate through July 27 from the Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing from Iwakuni.

During the previous three parts of the exercise, participants included airmen from the 3rd Wing at Elmendorf Air Base, Alaska; the 354th Fighter Wing at Eielson Air Base, Alaska; and the 51st Fighter Wing at Osan Air Base, South Korea.
