WIESBADEN, Germany — The 2011 European Adoption Symposium is scheduled to take place May 7 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kaiserslautern.

Sponsored by the Kaiserslautern Military Community Adoption Support Group and the 86th Air Base Wing Chapel Outreach Program, the annual, free symposium attracts people interested in learning more about adoption. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the symposium will run until about 4 p.m.

There are about 20 seminars and presentations scheduled. Topics this year include: starting the adoption process, top 10 issues of post-adoption, adopting when you are single, growing up adopted, funding an adoption, how to get military adoption entitlements and adopting abroad.

A 5 euro donation is suggested during registration to help offset expenses. Refreshments and food will be served.
