KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — Four people were injured around midnight Friday when a drunken driver traveling the wrong way on a major Kaiserslautern thoroughfare crashed into another vehicle, according to a German police report.

The drunken driver — identified by Air Force officials as Master Sgt. Alfredo Morales of the 86th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron — was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of Pariser Strasse when he struck another vehicle turning onto Pariser Strasse from the entrance/exit to the Vogelweh housing area, the report said.

Morales, 45, has been charged with drunken driving, the Air Force said.

Morales as well as the three people in the second car were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. An 11-year-old was among those injured.

None of the victims of the crash was seriously hurt, police said.
