U.S. Air Forces in Europe officials recently announced the 2002 nominees for the annual Air Force Safety awards.

They are:

Pendley, 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem;• Air Force Chief of Safety Aircrew of Distinction Award: Crew of Koo 03, 86th Airlift Wing, Ramstein Air Base, Germany;• Air Force Chief of Safety Outstanding Achievement Award for Ground Safety: 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem;• Colombian Trophy: 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy;• Air Force Chief of Safety Special Achievement Award: Tech. Sgt. James E. Douglas, 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem;• Safety Career Professional of the Year Award: Master Sgt. Joe E. Jones, 100th Air Refueling Wing, RAF Mildenhall, England;• Air Force Nuclear Surety Outstanding Achievement Award: Capt. Raymond F.
