The A.T. Mahan High School’s Parent, Teacher, Student Organization at NAS Keflavik, Iceland, will hold its annual scholarship auction May 6 at the school.

The auction raised $8,000 for students graduating from the high school last year. This year’s senior class has 13 members.

Among the items up for auction will be some related to celebrities of all types — from television stars to sports heroes — including autographed photos of actor Denzel Washington and basketball superstar Shaquille O’Neal.

Seniors have sent more than 1,200 letters to a variety of celebrities asking for items to auction.

Tickets are available for $5 from any high school senior. A spaghetti dinner, starting at 5:30 p.m., will precede the auction.
