RAF MILDENHALL, England — An RAF Lakenheath-based airman pleaded guilty to charges of wrongfully using a controlled substance during a court-martial Tuesday.
Airman Basic Anthony Skervin, of Lakenheath’s 48th Component Maintenance Squadron, pleaded guilty to using Ecstasy and marijuana on various occasions from May to September 2006, according to a news release from the 48th Fighter Wing public affairs office.
Skervin was sentenced to four months’ confinement and given a bad-conduct discharge, the release states.
Citing Air Force policy, 48th Fighter Wing representative Staff Sgt. Vanessa Young said that Skervin’s age would not be released.
Skervin had been in the Air Force since September 2005, she said.
Skervin is the third of four charged airmen to plead guilty to drug-related charges in connection with an undercover bust last September. That operation netted 10 airmen and alleged drugs at the 48th Fighter Wing dormitories.
The remaining airman to be tried, Airman David Murphy of the 48th Dental Squadron, is scheduled for court-martial on March 26 on similar charges.
Senior Airman Christopher Givens, of the 48th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, pleaded guilty during a Feb. 2 court-martial to similar charges, and Airman Ronald Moore Jr. of the 48th Medical Support Squadron pleaded guilty on March 7.
No other charges have been preferred against other airmen targeted by the operation, Young said.
