CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea — Soldiers from the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division recently sharpened their door gunnery skills on the M240 machine gun at a range in South Korea.
Each soldier was given a 150-round ammunition belt to fire 7.62 mm ball and tracer ammunition at ground targets below during the Aug. 25 drill. Soldiers were tasked with loading, arming, firing their M240 as well as acting as observers for their fellow door gunners.
The firing of their weapons allowed the soldiers to requalify as door gunners.
